Cutting Boards Built to Outlast the Kitchen
Solid walnut and maple, joined by hand in small batches. No veneer, no shortcuts — just honest wood that gets better with every meal.

Our story
One bench, one board at a time
Placeholder paragraph. Tom started with a hand plane, a stack of offcuts and a stubborn idea: a cutting board should outlive the kitchen it was bought for. Every board still leaves the shop the same way — squared by hand, sanded smooth, and finished with food-safe oil.
Placeholder paragraph. We keep the batches small on purpose. It means slower work and fewer boards, but every one of them is checked, signed and built to last.
Why Tom Wood Tales
Built the slow way, on purpose
Edge Grain Construction
Strips joined edge to edge. Kind on knives, stubborn against warping.
Sustainably Sourced Wood
Walnut and maple from mills we know by name. No mystery lumber.
Handmade in Small Batches
Cut, glued, planed and oiled by hand. A few boards a week, no more.
